Natural healthy with Chinese tea

1. Tea - the national Chinese beverage

In China, tea is called "cha" and as far as "cha" is concerned, the Middle Kingdom was very inventive. Everything in connection with the green leaves has been tried out. They have been rolled, roasted, fermented, pressed into bricks, ground into powder, rolled into little balls and even bound as flowers. Hundreds of types and the huge family of tea e.g. black, green, half-fermented and white teas are the result of the inexhaustible imagination of the Chinese people. China is a country of superlatives in terms of green tea. Nobody has been able to determine the precise number of variety. Literature mentions a couple of hundred, but there is also a record of 8000 at one time.

To make good tea, you have to pay special attention to the quality of the water, its temperature, the number of tea leaves and how you place them in the tea pot. Soft water is best. The temperature depends on the type of tea. Water to make black tea and every kind of Oolong tea should be near boiling point (100°C). Water for green tea should be about 90°C or below. The best result is generally obtained if you use 11 to 13 g of green tea (4 teaspoons!) for every hot litre of water or one teaspoon for every cup. Green tea and our DMC tea specialities can be brewed three or four times. So, don't throw your tea bags away immediately, use them more than once. For this reason a higher price level for an excellent quality is affordable for every day.

2. Tea and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

The harmony of Yin and Yang
The production and preparation of tea has been an integral part of Chinese culture from the very beginning. The preparation of tea is incorporated in thaoist and buddhist philosophy. So it is no surprise that tea ranks highly both in Chinese culture and traditional Chinese medicine. Both sides of Dao (the basic law in the natural world), the oppositional aspects of everything are called Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang symbolize the two different aspects of everything the universe consists of - including us. Yin and Yang are interdependent, they don't exist separately, only in connection.

How to choose a suitable tea
Starting point:
Consider the status of Yin and Yang.
  • Choose the tea with the right aspect.
  • A Yang tea will make up for any lack of Yang energy.
  • A Yin tea will reduce the predominance of bad profuse fire.
  • Second point:
Taste and aroma have to be right.
Taste and aroma support the harmony of enjoying tea and are important for your well-being. Ideally, you should test the tea before buying large quantities.

    Third point:
    See how your symptoms change.
If you drink tea for health reasons, observe any changes you experience carefully. If you notice improvements in your well-being and state of health, then you have chosen the right tea. If the negative symptoms increase, please check your choice of tea.

    3. Natural health with Chinese teas

Green tea is applied by scientists to a wide range of medical disorders. A Japanese paper states that green tea is a prophylaxis for 61 diseases and heals 21 afflictions. The Chinese have been using the healing power of green tea to treat insomnia, digestive problems, headaches, blurred vision, diarrhoea etc. for over 1000 years. In spite of its brilliant effect on health, don't expect wonders. It is more realistic to regard green tea as a natural drug rather than a miracle.

Apart from pure green tea, there are various mixtures of teas in China ready sorted and packed for trading. The tea mostly contains green tea and some Chinese herbs or green tea without any herbs. We have many enthusiastic customers who report enhanced health and well-being due to their use of our DMC tea specialities.

Our herb tea specialities should be brewed with water at near boiling point - unlike loose green tea at a low temperature. Green tea is just one component of our herb teas, some herb teas don't even have any green tea. Please follow our instructions. The best brewing temperature is stated on every tea speciality. Never throw away the tea bug after the first brew. You can use it three or four times.

    Tea quotation:
Tea is like a rose - brought to blossom - without thorns, to give you endless delight.
